Special Note: There are more than two dozen photo galleries in our Online Job Tour! This is more reason to revisit this often as a “touchstone” throughout your interviews with us. We hope you agree that all of this information and original images is the best way to familiarize yourself with NNRH and living with us here in Elko!
Professional Photographers:
Many thanks to these local photographers who contributed to our Online Job Tour by providing photos from their portfolios on a variety of subjects. In addition, we asked each to provide an album of their favorite photos – we’re so grateful for their efforts and invite you to enjoy their work featured below!

“These ten images are among my favorites
as they truly invoke the spirit of northeastern Nevada. All of the
pictures were taken in or nearby Elko. Our region has a colorful
cultural mix, incredible landscapes, and diverse wildlife. The photography
opportunities are endless. These are among the many reasons why I
choose to live here.”

“Local event organizers recognize us as the “official” events
photographers for the Elko area including the National Cowboy Poetry
Gathering, International Basque Festival, Ruby Mountain Balloon Festival
and the Elko Motorcycle Jamboree. My interest in photography began
very early in life. I have had some formal photography instruction
and have studied with great interest certain masters who helped me
understand how to achieve a full tonal range in my images; documentary
photographers who taught me how to find interest and beauty in the
most common of things; how to find fascinating images in the most
mundane items and an intriguing departure from conventional imagery.”
Charlie Ekburg Charlie’s
Photo Gallery

“These photos were chosen because they show
the pristine beauty that is minutes away from Elko, Spring Creek,
and Lamoille residents. There are views from the valley floor of
the Ruby Mountains and views of what can be seen in the drive up
the canyon roadway or hike up the trails. There are a couple photos
of ranch life which still exists in the Lamoille area.”
Susan Zerga Susan’s
Photo Gallery
“I have always had a passion for outdoor activities like fishing
(all freshwater), hunting (large & small game) and photography.
My wife & I discussed purchasing retirement property around here
in 1987 while passing through on a vacation (one of many visits).
A job opened up in my field (fisheries) at the Fish Hatchery in Ruby
Valley in 1988 so we checked it out. In addition to the benefit of
raising a child in a rural setting we like the central location of
Elko County. A drive for couple of hours in any direction opens up
outdoor experiences too numerous to mention.”
